Lately I've been playing a lot of Neverwinter and Rift. I just finished doing the Winter Festival in Neverwinter and got the Fawn companion which does a lot of great healing and buffs for my hunter ranger. I also got it for my other characters; my control wizard and my scourge warlock. Those are both fun classes for me to play also. So Pirotess (hunter ranger), Raina (control wizard), and Mab (scourge warlock). all have the fawn now. I also got them each the frost mimic companion which is also pretty cool. I'm looking forward to doing the Winter Festival next year. The next upcoming festival in Neverwinter is the Summer Festival and that's a lot of fun too. In the meantime, it's back to doing endgame stuff on my ranger and wizard and level grinding my warlock.
On Rift I've been playing as a Kelari ranger/rogue and that's been a lot of fun. I'm still relatively new to the game, but I've gotten her to level 28 and I joined a guild that has a lot of nice people in it who are very helpful to newbies like me and I'm getting the hang of things. I really like the fact that my ranger can fight with a pet. Right now it's greater dire wolf and a greater razorbeast (think giant boar with armor) which is pretty cool. The quests are relatively interesting and the story is pretty good. The combat is well thought out and the items menu is user friendly which is also a plus.
If you're into fun free MMORPG games then Neverwinter and Rift are great choices. Both offer great character builds, beautiful game environments, easy party grouping, and fantastic game play. So get out there and start adventuring!
